Just had a wonderful birthday dinner at The Black Steer! My bacon-wrapped filet mignon was cooked perfectly and my son really enjoyed his spaghetti. Sides were also very good and we really liked the Italian Lemon Cake we ordered for my bday dessert. Great atmosphere! It feels very cozy, but still upscale. Definitely recommend!

We always enter through the rear of the REAR OF THE STEER. Ha ha ha.... Really though! Its my wifes childhood favorite, pepper steak, and i have tried everything on the menu. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

We love the Steer. It's our "go to" place. It's a 1960's original classic Loveland steak house. It's not a chain. It's a good date night restaurant if you want to actually talk to your date or companion. As far as the Chex on the salad, that was a '60s thing & we love it!We love the quiet, cozy ambience. The food is awesome & we've always had great service. The bar is special too!Very enjoyable restaurant. Don't change anything.
The greatest part of the experience of "The Black Steer" is the incredible staff and their amazing hospitality! The restaurant offers a wonderful atmosphere that is comfortable and peaceful. The cuisine is always consistently great without fear of trying anything new from the menu. All of this combined is what has grown me into a regular repeat customer with nothing more than positive remarks for the entire experience. Thank you very much to the entire staff of "The Black Steer" for your incredibly hard work and continued remarkable experience.
I do not recommend coming here. Came here to celebrate our anniversary and was disappointed. My steak was bland, the mac and cheese tasted like it came from KFC, and the service was horrible! The only thing that didn’t take over an hour to arrive at our table was the check. Do not know who our waitress was, since she never gave her name. We sat right behind the bathrooms.
Celebrated Dads 83rd birthday as we do every year! Amazing food and outstanding service.
